Matariki Experience booking terms

Bookings are not confirmed until a booking form is complete, a 50% deposit has been received and a written confirmation has been issued by Te Ihu o Mataoho Tours.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking date.
The remaining 50% balance is due within 7 days after the scheduled experience date.
Invoices will be issued to the nominated billing contact.

Cancellations made more than 10 days before the event: full refund of deposit (less any non-recoverable costs).
Cancellations within 10 days: deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations within 5 days: 100% of total booking fee is payable.
Date changes are subject to availability and may incur administrative costs.

Final participant numbers must be confirmed at least 5 days prior to the event.
Charges will be based on confirmed numbers unless otherwise agreed.

All participants must follow health and safety instructions provided by hosts and kaitiaki.
Groups may be held liable for damage caused by participants.

The experience operates in most weather conditions. We encourage all participants to dress according to the weather conditions.
In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to modify or reschedule parts of the experience for safety or cultural reasons.

Any transport arranged through third-party providers is subject to their own terms and conditions.
We can facilitate introductions to trusted bus providers offering group rates.

Photography for personal and educational purposes is welcome during most experiences.
Your guide will advise if there are areas or moments where photography is not appropriate. We ask all visitors to respect the tikanga of the site and the people sharing its stories.
You are note permitted to film or capture audio of the guide koorero.Commercial photography or filming must be arranged with us before your visit.
