We begin with a mihi whakatau to welcome our guests in te reo Maaori before walking the land with our expert guides and uncovering the stories of Mataoho, the volcanic landscapes and the deep histories that have shaped this place for more than 800 years. Rich storytelling, stunning scenery and an authentic perspective that cannot be replicated.
2. Hands-On cultural workshop (choose your experience)
Poi making: Learn the art, meaning and movement behind poi, and create your own to take home.
Tukutuku panel weaving: Experience traditional Maaori design and storytelling through tukutuku weaving, guided by our cultural practitioners.
These workshops are engaging, interactive and designed to foster connection within your group.
3. Haangii lunch
Conclude your experience with a traditional haangii meal, prepared with care and intention. Enjoy a shared dining experience that reflects manaakitanga at its best.
